Let me introduce myself

Postby FFF Fan Central » December 18th, 2008, 2:54 pm

All right, I may as well start this off. My name is Wynne, and I'm the administrator of this forum. I'm also the webmaster of the fan site known as Five For Fighting Fan Central. Now, you should know I'm not real experienced doing websites or message boards for that matter. So, if things seem rather haphazard here...there's a reason! ;)

I live in Bellingham, WA, which is north of Seattle and about 20 miles south of the US/Canada border. I've only known John and Five For Fighting for about 3 1/2 years. I discovered John's music after hearing 100 Years in an episode of the TV series Jag back in 2005. I emailed John shortly after, and my life hasn't been the same since. I've met John several times at charity events and during my great Five For Fighting groupie road trip last year. He's a terrific guy...so humble and down-to-earth!

So, if you wanna talk about John or anything to do with FFF, feel free to post a topic or question! I'll be there to offer my two cents! :D

Best wishes and welcome FFF fans!
Wynne

Wow Wynne! what a neat story! I'm green with envy that you've seen him in concert! I would so loooove to see him. I think it is wonderful that you are doing the fff message boards. I wish I could help you in someway, but I know nadda about web sites, so in my mind you are doing a great job!

About me.... I live in Florida, been a FFF fan for about 3 or 4 years. I love his music and his voice. The 100 year CD is the only CD I've ever liked every song on the CD and my very most favorite song of all times would be "Maybe I" I've turned a few people on to FFF music and I hope that many others will get the word too. I so want to see FFF in concert!

Again Wynne, thanks for the site! I think you are doing a great job! If you have pictures you want to share of John I'd love to see them ;)

Believe me, Summer...you're a great help just being here! If there's anything I'm always wanting, it's to talk to other people about John! So, you're presence is greatly appreciated! :D

If you've haven't yet, check out my blogsite and read about my encounters with John and my groupie road trip. My main reason for doing the blogsite is so other people can share my experiences! And, I know you'll get your chance to see a FFF show! When John goes on tour to promote his new album, I'm sure he will pass through Florida! He did Hard Rock Live and House of Blues in Orlando in his previous tours. Would that be doable for you?

Do you have MySpace? I have a couple of photo albums there with photos of John (and me, too). I used to have more but I haven't really caught up after MySpace DELETED ME without warning or explanation earlier this year! I will try to get more photos up on my fan site photo page, when I can find the time.

My fav FFF album is Two Lights, but my fav song is Dying. That song just resonates so much feeling and emotion. BTW, when I mentioned to John that it was my fav song, he said he really liked how the strings came out. I must say, I have to agree with him! :)

Funny that you should mention JAG, Wynne... I used to be obsessed with that show, but sort of went off it after season 7. I did see the finale though, and it was really cool to hear 100 Years.

Anyway, my name is Lee-Ann. I live in Perth, Western Australia. Superman started getting airplay around 2002 (we're a bit slow over here :P ) and America Town was the first time I'd heard an album and dug every song. Back Country has been my only live FFF experience to date but hope to change that someday.

Welcome to the board, Lee-Ann...not that we are REALLY strangers, right? ;)

I'm SO glad you are here! Do you also have the Back Country DVD? I hope so! I'm not sure when John will EVER visit Australia again...did you see him when he did in 2002?...but, at least you can still see his concert on the DVD. It's the same show that I saw in 2007. Speaking of John's last visit Down Under, I have the Rove Live DVD with John's appearance on that show. JOHN IS AWESOME!!! He looks SO cute and dreamy when the camera moves in for the close-up!

Anyway, feel free to post as much and as often as you want! I'm always dying to talk to someone about FFF and John! :P

Once again, welcome!
